Shibahara leg.) in the collection of H. Yamanaka.
Distribution. Japan (Kyushu).
Remarks. This species is similar to C. pubescens (Warren, 1 892) described
from India in the maculation of both wings, but larger in size (length
of forewing 11 mm in brunnealis, 9-10 mm in pubescens); forewing above
almost overall tinted with dull yellowish brown; a crescent-shaped semihyaline
mark on forewing more or less larger. Male genitalic structures of the
species are closer to those of C. nepalensis Yamanaka described from Nepal
(cf. Yamanaka, 2000, Tinea 16 (Suppl. 1): 64, figs 1389, 1390, pl. 163,
fig. 15), but uncus narrower, apical margin narrowly rounded, and dorsal
setae longer; valva shorter, and basal two-thirds of costal margin more
or less curved dorsad.
